On Monday, November 13, 2023, a few Ghanaians got together to hold Sir Bobby Charlton’s funeral, a legend of Manchester United.

The funeral, which was arranged by the Ghana Supporters Union, took place at Tesano in the Greater Accra Region on the same day as the legendary football player’s funeral in England.

Videos from the funeral have gone viral, showing the Ghanaians draped in funereal cloths bearing pictures and the late Sir Bobby’s banner, signifying his mortal remains.

They filed past the mounted photos in turn, giving the English legend their final respect.

After suffering a fall at the assisted living facility where he was receiving care, Sir Bobby Charlton passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

86 years old was the death age of the Manchester United legend.

The motives behind organizing the funeral in Ghana have not yet been disclosed by the Ghana Supporters Union.
