Bono Region: DCE evokes on government to regulate pricing system in Ghana.
The District Chief Executive for Banda, Hon. Akoneh Emmanuel, has opined to regulate pricing system in the country.
According to the DCE, regulating pricing system soberly will commute the high level of inflation in the country to abate economic challenges.
The District Chief Executive was reacting to the recent fuel price reduction said, the social and economic consequences of inflation needs to induce the government to introduce statutory price controls.
“Introducing price-control legislation will help reduce the bane of scepticals about the desirability and effectiveness of circumstances in disparity of commodity prices”, Hon. Akoneh stated.
Speaking in an exclusive Interview on Tain FM Anopa Nkommo show with Appiah Kubi, Hon. Akoneh reiterated on the rate at which fuel prices had shot up over the period, had greatly increased the burden on consumers in the country, but the recent reduction of fuel price shows the government is sensitive and in tune with the plights of Ghanaians in the recent economic crisis.
He further pleads with Ghanaians to acquaint with the Nana Addo’s led NPP government with conviction to inhibit further internal crisis.
