GNP: Teachers Ordered Students To Supply Their Own Furniture In A School At Asante Akyem South

Since we are not in the normal times as usually said by the President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo in most of his speeches when addressing the state, most authorities are using self authority to manipulate the already existing order of management and protocols in the country due to Covid-19 plight.

With this, some students of M/A basic school in Obogu in Asante Akyem south of Ashanti region have been allegedly asked to buy their own furniture for learning due to lack of furniture from the Municipal Assembly.

Students speaking to the press, stressed out that, in other to ensure good and comfortable learning environment, they have to send plastic chairs to school because they lack chairs or furniture for studies.

Concerned parents witnessing the situation said, since the government is not providing furniture, they have to provide it for their wards and others also said, though government is responsible for providing furniture for the schools, they think because of Covid-19 crisis, the government is inefficient to supply them with the needed furniture in this short period of school reopening.

Due to this, the parents are helping the government and themselves to have the students taught well in schools especially in this abnormal time.

The assembly has gotten the information and would address it immediately to help solve or take off the burdens on the noble parents in the municipality for the students to have good learning environment henceforth.
