The International Police (INTERPOL) has arrested Ghanaian gospel songstress, Jacklin Sarfo Gyamfua popularly known as Ohemaa Jacky.
INTERPOL in Cotonou arrested the songstress after it received signals that she absconded from Ghana whiles facing fraud trials.
Upon her arrest, Ohemaa Jackie had in her possession an alleged fake Italian passport.
Earlier this year, Ohemaa Jackie was arrested together with her husband, Emmanuel Peprah while traveling to London through Paris.
During her arrest, she was picked up by the INTERPOL in Cotonou after Ghana sought assistance.
Ohemaa Jackie was grabbed in the company of her husband with possession of fake Italian passports and resident identity cards.
The songstress is already standing trial in Ghana for allegedly defrauding a trader of GHc150,000 under the pretext of securing her an Italian passport and resident identity card.
She also forged Italian passports for the trader and her infant daughter.
Ohemaa Jackie pleaded not guilty when she was charged with defrauding by false pretense.
She was however granted a GHc200,000 bail.
After she was bailed, Ohemaa Jackie failed to appear in court, putting her sureties under pressure as they were hurled before a court to produce her.
The court which was presided over by Mrs. Evelyn Asamoah issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the musician.
The prosecution indicated that officers had tried to trace her in her house in Accra but proved futile.
Cotonou INTERPOL was then contacted leading to her arrest.
