A well-known couple with a 37-year age gap recently celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary – but were labelled “disgusting” by cruel trolls online.

The duo, 25-year-old Quran McCain and 62-year-old Cheryl McGregor have hit the headlines many times over the past year, with the pair frequently going viral when sharing details from their relationship. The couple first met in 2012 when he was just 15 but re-connected in 2020, and were engaged by July 2021 – marrying on 3 September that same year.

Having recently taken to social media to share their anniversary in a video, the husband and wife can be seen holding hands, walking together, and kissing. The clip then shows a number of photos and videos of them over the years.

They shared the footage with their three million TikTok followers (@kingqurannewpage ) and despite many trolls not believing their marriage would last, they recently celebrated their anniversary.

“Happy to celebrate being married for two years to my amazing queen, I pray god bless us with many more, happy anniversary baby,” the caption reads.

However, not everyone is celebrating with them as cruel trolls commented on their special landmark occasion with some bitter comments. One TikToker said: “Tell your parents I said sorry.” Another person added: “You are not ok trust me.” Kathy commented: “She looks so proud holding her grandson’s hand LOL.” One user said: “Disgusted.”

Someone else wrote: “Whys bro taking out a ghost.” Another follower added: “How’s ur grandma doing bud.” However, others were more supportive of the couple’s special day and congratulated the pair for defying the odds and remaining together – despite the recent comments.

“The definition of ‘age is just a number’,” said one follower. “Awww I love this so much, melts my heart and brings along so many memories, I love you both,” added Daisy. “Happy anniversary to you both,” Carolyn said.

Quran proposed to Cheryl at an Olive Garden restaurant in July 2021 with a $3,000 (£2,200) engagement ring. He previously told NeedToKnow.online: “I was extremely nervous before and I tried my best to keep my composure but I was crying as soon as we entered the parking lot.

“There are many reasons why I chose to make Cheryl my wife. She’s beautiful, elegant, strong, noble, honest and compassionate. Cheryl was shocked as she didn’t know I was going to propose but it made her feel special.”
