Such behavior is entirely unacceptable and violates the professional and ethical standards expected of educators. The GES Code of Conduct explicitly forbids any sexual relationships between teachers and students, categorizing such actions as serious misconduct (PART 3, Section 3.8(C)).

We want to emphasize that society must not normalize or excuse incidents like this. Teachers hold the critical role of guiding, mentoring, and protecting students, and it is a gross violation of this trust to exploit them. What occurred is not only unprofessional but also represents a betrayal of the confidence placed in educators.

Regrettably, this incident is not an isolated case. Across the nation, many young girls continue to endure harassment and exploitation from individuals in positions of authority. Most victims remain silent due to fear, shame, or the lack of safe avenues to report their experiences.

Therefore, BDF GHANA calls on all Ghanaians to denounce this behavior and support initiatives aimed at fostering safer learning environments for students. We also remind teachers and lecturers that their interactions with students must always remain strictly professional.

Lastly, we urge the relevant authorities to carry out a prompt and thorough investigation, ensuring that appropriate disciplinary and legal actions are taken. The safety, dignity, and well-being of every student must be prioritized.
