Following the psychiatric report, Frimpong changed his earlier plea and admitted to the offence. His guilty plea paved the way for the court to proceed with sentencing.

In delivering its judgment, the Kwadaso Circuit Court sentenced Frimpong to one month of imprisonment. The court explained that the relatively reduced sentence was influenced by his decision to plead guilty, which saved the court’s time, as well as his status as a young offender.
