PLACE THE INTEREST OF THE PARTY ABOVE PERSONAL AMBITIONS – NPP TREASURER HOPEFUL

Hon. Helena Mensah, who is the presiding member of the Ejisu Municipal Assembly has filed her nomination to contest the Ashanti Regional Treasurer position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), with a call on party members to conduct peaceful and insult-free campaigns throughout the election period.

Hon. Mensah submitted her nomination as the party prepares for its Ashanti Regional Executive Elections, expressing optimism about her chances and reaffirming her commitment to serving the party with integrity, transparency and dedication if elected.

Speaking to the media after filing her nomination, she appealed to all aspirants, delegates and supporters to place the interest of the NPP above personal ambitions and avoid insults, character attacks and divisive politics that could undermine the unity of the party.

According to her, healthy competition should be guided by mutual respect, discipline and decorum, stressing that the regional elections should strengthen rather than divide the party.

Hon. Mensah pledged to bring accountability, transparency and prudent financial management to the office of Regional Treasurer if entrusted with the mandate by delegates.

She said she would work closely with the regional executive committee to ensure effective mobilization and management of the party’s financial resources in support of its programmes and activities.

The Ejisu Municipal Presiding Member further appealed to delegates to support her vision, assuring them of accessible, inclusive and selfless leadership aimed at strengthening the party’s organizational and financial capacity.

She concluded by urging all party faithful to remain united before, during and after the elections, emphasizing that the ultimate goal is to build a stronger NPP capable of securing victory in the 2028 general elections.
