Number 3 Is a Sign of Victory – Apaatu Asiamah Backs Oheneba Kudjo for Kade NPP Chairmanshi

Apaatu Asiamah, spokesperson for Kade New Patriotic Party (NPP) chairmanship aspirant Richard Obeng Kudjo, popularly known as Oheneba Kudjo, has called on delegates to vote massively for his candidate, describing ballot number three as a symbol of victory.

Speaking in an interview, Asiamah attributed the challenges facing the NPP in the Kade Constituency to what he described as a lack of effective leadership from the current constituency chairman.

According to him, the constituency chairman, as the chief executive officer of the party at the constituency level, is expected to supervise party activities and provide strong leadership independent of any elected official.

He criticized the incumbent chairman for allegedly relying too heavily on the Member of Parliament (MP), claiming that the chairman often refuses to represent the party at official functions unless the MP is present.

“A constituency chairman should be able to lead the party at all times. If the MP is unavailable, the chairman must still be capable of carrying out his responsibilities,” Asiamah said.

He praised Oheneba Kudjo for demonstrating strong leadership qualities even before assuming office. Asiamah cited a recent donation made by the aspirant to a local school, noting that after making the presentation, Oheneba Kudjo quietly left without seeking public attention.

Asiamah expressed confidence that electing Oheneba Kudjo as constituency chairman would strengthen the NPP’s chances of retaining the Kade parliamentary seat in future elections.

He warned that the party risks losing the constituency if delegates fail to elect leaders capable of revitalizing the party’s grassroots structures. According to him, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is making every effort to capture the Kade seat after winning three parliamentary seats from the NPP in the Eastern Region during the last general election.

He therefore appealed to delegates to vote for Oheneba Kudjo, who occupies number three on the ballot paper.

Asiamah concluded by describing the number three as symbolic, saying it represents “the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,” which he believes signifies victory for Oheneba Kudjo in the upcoming election.
