The Ashanti Regional Elections Committee of the New Patriotic Party has officially closed nominations for aspirants seeking to contest various regional executive positions in the party.
The exercise sets the stage for the highly anticipated Ashanti Regional Executive Elections scheduled for August 15–16, 2026.
The regional elections are expected to shape the party’s organizational direction in its biggest stronghold ahead of the 2028 general
Speaking to the media in an interview after submitting his nomination forms, the current Ashanti Regional Organizer and aspiring Regional Secretary, Dr. Francis Adomako, reaffirmed his dedication to the NPP and to the people of Ashanti.
Dr. Adomako pledged to use his experience in party organization to strengthen internal structures and deepen grassroots mobilization across all 47 constituencies in the region.
“My focus is clear,” he said. “We must build a more disciplined, united and data-driven party at the grassroots. When our structures are strong, our results will follow.”
The aspiring Regional Secretary emphasized that the 2028 general elections remain the ultimate goal for the party.
