LilWin Blasts Black Stars After Colombia Defeat, Questions Jordan Ayew

Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has strongly criticised the Black Stars following Ghana’s defeat to Colombia at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, questioning both the team’s performance and the continued selection of captain Jordan Ayew.

According to a report by GhanaWeb published on Saturday, July 4, 2026, LilWin joined thousands of disappointed Ghanaian football fans in reacting to the Black Stars’ World Cup loss to Colombia.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) on July 4, the actor described Ghana’s performance as disappointing, insisting the players were capable of delivering a much stronger display on football’s biggest stage.

Expressing his frustration, Lilwin questioned whether the result had been genuine, although he did not provide any evidence to support the allegation.

I don’t understand the game the players played today. If they sold the match, they should tell us and equally bring us our share of the money,” he said.

Lilwin Questions Jordan Ayew’s Place in the Black Stars

The actor also criticised Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew, questioning why the striker continues to be selected despite what he believes are below-par performances for the Ghana national football team.

LilWin went further by speculating, without presenting evidence, that the Ayew family may have influence over team selection.

I am sure Jordan’s family has a share in the Black Stars. Explain why over 90 per cent of Ghanaians have consistently complained about Jordan, yet they keep playing him, he said.

They should let us know if Jordan’s family has a share in the Black Stars so we know what to do. Local teams in Ghana will not play such a nonsense game.

LilWin Says Black Stars Defeat Left Him Heartbroken

The Kumawood star revealed that Ghana’s World Cup defeat affected him emotionally, saying he struggled to sleep after watching the match.

According to LilWin, if Jordan Ayew was not making the desired impact during the game, the Black Stars coaching staff should have substituted him much earlier.

Ghana Fans React to Black Stars’ World Cup Exit

LilWin’s comments reflect the frustration expressed by many Ghanaian supporters following the Black Stars’ elimination from the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Much of the criticism from fans and football analysts has centred on Ghana’s overall performance, tactical approach, team selection and the continued reliance on experienced players, including Jordan Ayew.

At the time of publication, neither the Ghana Football Association (GFA) nor the Black Stars’ technical team had publicly responded to Lilwin’s remarks.

As discussions continue across social media, the Black Stars’ World Cup campaign remains one of the most talked-about topics among Ghanaian football fans, with many calling for a thorough review of the team’s performance ahead of future international competitions.
